Frequently Asked questions

What are your Service Times?

We have two services. The first is a smaller, quieter service at 8:30am. The second is our main service which starts at 10:30am and includes Nursery care & Children's Church.

What are your core beliefs?

In short we believe that we're all sinners in desperate need of salvation, which can only come through Christ alone. We believe the Bible to be the fully, divinely inspired Word of God and the final & complete authority on all matters to which it speaks. For a more complete explanation, please see our "What We Believe" page.

What can I expect on a Sunday morning?

Your first time visit to HPC starts when you first pull in. We have multiple visitor parking spaces right by the main entrance to make sure you get a great spot. When you come in you'll be greeted by some friendly faces at the door. If you have little ones head to the right of the building and you'll find our Nurseries. If you'd prefer you are of course more than welcome to bring them along. We love having children join us and we don't mind if they get a little fussy so please don't feel self-conscious. We do provide Children's bags right outside the Sanctuary that you can take in with you for children.

What is your worship style like?

Worship at HPC leans more to the traditional side. We are led in hymns by organ, piano, and choir. We also frequently have special music as part of our services, including occasional contemporary selections.

Do you provide Nursery care?

Absolutely! We have two Nurseries, one for infants and another for toddlers. Both well maintained, clean, and fully staffed by multiple adults who have passed stringent background check requirements as well as volunteer students. To learn more check out out Nursery Page.

What should I wear?

Some of our members wear dresses and suits to worship, others come in jeans and shorts. Don't sweat your clothes. Just wear what your comfortable with.

What should I know about Communion?

Our Communion Table is open to all who profess Christ as their Lord & Savior. You don't need to be a member of our church or even Presbyterian to take communion at HPC. We serve communion on the first Sunday of every month. We're also sure to have a gluten-free option, because we don't want the table to be closed to anyone due to food allergies.

What about having my kids in worship?

At HPC we absolutely love children and that includes in worship. While we do provide Nursery care for the littlest ones, you are more than welcome to bring your kids along to worship. We offer bags outside the door you can take to keep little ones entertained and if kids get a little fussy during the service, we understand so please don't feel self-conscious. Right before the sermon starts, kids have the option of heading downstairs for Children's Worship. Kids can be picked up downstairs in Fellowship Hall immediately after the service ends.

What are your Sunday School options for adults and kids?

All Sunday School classes meet from 9:30-10:15am. We have multiple class options for all ages.

Adult Classes

Children's Classes

Youth Classes

Awesome! We're excited that you're thinking about joining our church family. We run a New Member's Class a few times a year, depending on interest. Your best bet is to send an email to Pastor Rob.
