Ways to help

Cycles for Christ

This ministry was founded by one of our own members, Jon Polhamus. Jon has a passion for cycling, which the Lord is using in tremendous ways. Cycles for Christ collects old bikes & parts, fixes them up and donates them to children and adults in need.

Upcoming for 2026

April

The bike shop will be opening again on April 22 this year.  They will be collecting, repairing and delivering bikes to the poor, homeless, refugees, immigrants and veterans in the communities around Hudson.  They are looking forward to a busy year. Last year they distributed five hundred bikes and repaired another 100 for their owners.

They provide a helmet and a lock with most bikes!

If you have any old bikes taking up space in your garage, let Jon know! Your donation would be appreciated.

If you are looking for a more active role, Jon is always looking for volunteers to help them collect, clean up, repair, and distribute the bikes. You need not be a bike expert; all tools and supplies are provided.

International Missions

Russia

HPC also supports an EPC missionary family in Russia, in the area of the country north of Kazakhstan. Their main work involves evangelism through English courses and youth discipleship. The same rules of sensitivity apply to this family as well so check our Mission Board to learn more.

El Salvador

In San Salvador we partner with Harvesting In Spanish, an orphanage working to house, feed, and show Christ to local children in need. HPC regularly sends adult teams from our congregation to work alongside of the people there and maintains a close relationship with it's founders and staff.

Bolivia

Judy Yund is a missionary serving in the medical field in one of the poorest areas of Bolivia. She runs a Christian Hospital in Laz Paz. Judy has been able to visit us somewhat regularly in person to share what God is doing in Bolivia.

Suggest a Mission Partner

Have an idea for an HPC Mission Partner? You may not realize this, but most of our partnerships began because someone just like you brought them to our attention!

The Mission Committee is seeking suggestions for initiatives HPC should support. While we cannot guarantee immediate adoption, please be assured that every proposal will be seriously considered alongside our current funded, donated, and volunteer efforts.

EduNations Golf Tournament Fundraiser

EduNations Igniting Hope…

Motivated by compassion for “the least of these,” EduNations gives forgotten children tangible reasons to hope. More than teaching the ABCs, we create schools in Sierra Leone, Western Africa, that become self-supporting beacons of growth and learning. Rescuing one child enriches a community, which strengthens a nation. By helping to educate forgotten children today, we help create a brighter future for this nation tomorrow.

Stay connected

One of the things we value at HPC is to ensure our members are involved in & connected to the missions we support. We work hard to make sure you get regular updates about our mission partners and how you can get involved. One example of this is regular Skype Sessions with our international missionaries. You can also click below for some of our most current updates! Finally scroll all the way down to read about our Mission Partnership Criteria & to suggest ideas for new partnerships!
